The Shot طلقة (Poem by Adnan Al-Sayegh)
The Shot
On the swaying branch, a nightingale
is busy singing tunefully
a shot
a corpse
the branch is still…trembles
for a moment
then stops.
In the forest
all the nightingales
are silent.
